Ronald Reagan Washington
National Airport (DCA)
The Closest Airport to the Heart of Washington
Fraport Washington Partnership is transforming the concessions program at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport as an integral part of MWAA’s “DCA Reimagined” Project, with a more dynamic and regionally inspired experience for travelers. At DCA, our developer initiative focuses on enhancing the traveler journey by continuing to upgrade the entire concession program in the National Hall and along all concourses with more excitement, variety and convenience.
As part of the approach, we are committed to showcasing the Capital region and supporting small, local businesses with inclusion of a diverse range of vendors to cater to a wider audience, strengthening DCA’s role as a welcoming gateway to the nation’s capital.
Our “DCA Reimagined” efforts include:
- The opening of 32 new and renovated shopping/dining options last year on pace with a target of 80 expanded options across both DCA and IAD airports.
- Passenger experience transformation with a dedication to local and regional shops and restaurants along with the excitement of taste-making national brands like the first-of-its-kind Capital One Landing, a new global introduction in partnership with the Jose Andrès Group.
- Cultivating a new sense of passenger engagement in the concourses and throughout the iconic 138,000 sq. ft. National Hall, with its unique offerings including Lucky Buns – DC’s popular home-grown burger joint, the H Street Corridor’s own independent Solid State Books, DC Arts District Market and the intriguing whimsy of the LEGO Store.
- Creating community opportunities with the Airport Concessions Job Fair and outreach to one of DC’s most iconic destinations, the Eastern Market, featuring locally made goods from DC-based vendors.
