Blake Shelton and Ryman Hospitality Properties, Inc. confirm plans to open Ole Red location at Nashville International Airport

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Country superstar and Opry member Blake Shelton and Ryman Hospitality Properties (NYSE: RHP) (“the Company”) today announced plans for a new Ole Red location in the Nashville International Airport, expected to open in the first half of 2022. Ole Red is a live music entertainment venue and brand inspired by Shelton’s hit song “Ol’ Red.”

“We have long believed in the bold vision set forth by the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority for their expansion, which is designed to accommodate Nashville’s surging tourism demand,” said Colin Reed, chairman and CEO of Ryman Hospitality Properties. “We believe having an Ole Red location in this redesigned space is an extraordinary billboard opportunity for the Ole Red brand and all of what downtown Nashville has to offer. We look forward to working alongside Fraport USA to bring Ole Red to the airport.”

“Our new concessions program celebrates the best of Music City,” said Matt Jennings, vice president of Fraport Tennessee. “It’s exciting to announce plans for Ole Red’s new restaurant and live music venue in our busiest concourse. Ole Red and a Grand Ole Opry-themed retail shop will bring that Nashville Lower Broadway flavor and flair travelers are looking for.”

The planned 5,500-square-foot Ole Red BNA will join a host of new dining and shopping options at the Nashville International Airport, which is undergoing a $1.4 billion expansion plan designed to accommodate more than 23 million passengers by 2023. The planned $4.5 million project is scheduled for the C Terminal and will be the largest single operation at BNA with 190 seats, concert-quality acoustics and the largest stage in the airport. The Company plans to offer daily live music to travelers alongside Ole Red menu favorites and location-specific specialties, including breakfast items. The Company has also reached an agreement to operate a Grand Ole Opry-themed retail shop, which will sell products from across the company’s entertainment brands, including Ole Red.

Blake Shelton said, “Folks from around the world come to Nashville lookin’ to have a good time and hear some of the best live music around, and now you can make it double with the Nashville airport venue! I’m excited to give visitors the best fun, food and music like only Ole Red can provide while they wait for their flight.”
