Pittsburgh International Airport and Fraport USA host 5th Annual Holiday Open House to Celebrate the Season

WHAT:  Pittsburgh International Airport and Fraport USA’s much anticipated Holiday Open House will take place on Saturday, Dec. 1. This is the fifth year the public is invited to celebrate the season in the airside terminal at the airport.

The festivities will include a live performance by LoveBettie, a chance to create your own gift wrap with the Children’s Museum, a return visit by The National Aviary’s African penguin, and the always popular guest-treat: free parking validation.

More than 30 shops and restaurants will add to the merriment with delicious treats and holiday shopping deals throughout the day. Additionally, there will be a juggler, caricature artist, and an artist doing airbrush tattoos in the afternoon.

WHEN:  Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.: Art in the Airport tours (Meet near Martini bar, Center Core)
  • 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Make your own giftwrap with Children’s Museum
  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Balloon Artist
  • 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Live holiday music with LoveBettie
  • Noon to 4 p.m.: Visit by Santa
  • 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.: The National Aviary’s African penguin
  • 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.: Pittsburgh Pirates Pierogies

DETAILS:  Guests should register in advance at flypittsburgh.com/openhouse and plan to arrive by 5 p.m. with a valid government-issued photo ID. Guests are also encouraged to post their holiday adventures on social media with the hashtag #LetsShopPIT.
