Voodoo Brewery Pops Up at Pittsburgh International Airport

Craft beer on tap at airport’s first “pop up” pub in Concourse C

PITTSBURGH – Just in time for the summer travel season, craft beer enthusiasts have more refreshing pours to choose from at Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT). Voodoo Brewing Co. has opened its first “pop up” pub in Concourse C, joining other local breweries that have opened pubs at PIT this year, including Local Craft Kitchen + Bar and Penn Brewery.

“The addition of Voodoo Brewing Co. is the latest piece to bringing more of our regional flavor into the terminal,” said Eric Sprys, Chief Commercial Officer, Allegheny County Airport Authority. “Sense of place is important and we’re excited that travelers can experience more of the Pittsburgh region right at the airport.”

“We’re thrilled to bring Voodoo Brewing Co. to the airport,” added Ben Zandi, president and CEO of Fraport USA, the retail developer at PIT. “We’re always on the lookout for innovative concepts that showcase our region. Voodoo is no exception. This regional brewer is on the global stage in the craft beer movement.”

True to its name, the acclaimed brewer brings a quirky line of “fun, flavorful, and thought-provoking” beers to its new 225 square-foot airport pub. Currently flowing are up to twelve draft lines and a collection of year-round and seasonal brews, including cult favorites Voodoo Love Child, Wynona’s Big Brown Ale, Good Vibes and White Magick of the Sun. Chips and Beelzebub Salsa, made in Meadville, are also on the menu.

The “open air” pub has an outdoorsy vibe with Voodoo-branded wooden pallets and a graffiti chalk board reminiscent of the Meadville brewer’s celebrated label art. The new pub also offers USB plugins so patrons can recharge before or after their flight.

“We’re excited to bring our premium brews to the airport,” said Jake Voelker, principal owner of Voodoo Brewing. “Our ‘pop up’ pub at PIT gives us an opportunity to introduce more people to Voodoo Brewing. We want to continue to spread the love of craft beer and reach a wider audience.”

Hours are Monday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Seats up to 25.
