— Annual open house event welcomes holiday revelers and shoppers to the airport —
WHAT: AirMall at Pittsburgh International Airport is celebrating the holiday season with the much anticipated Holiday Open House shopping event on Saturday, Dec. 2.
This is the fourth consecutive year the airport has welcomed the public to a seasonal celebration in the airside terminal. The holiday open house will feature free parking, in-store specials, a visit from Santa and live music throughout the day.
More than 30 shops and restaurants will spread holiday cheer with complimentary refreshments and treats, sampling events, giveaways, and special savings on a variety of unique gifts.
WHEN: Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.: A balloon artist and a juggler entertain the terminal (juggler leaves at 2 p.m.)
- 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Lovebettie performs classic holiday tunes
- 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.: Santa visits for photos with airport guests
- 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.: An African penguin visits from the National Aviary
- 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.: A visiting artist sketches caricatures of shoppers and travelers
DETAILS: Guests should register in advance at flypittsburgh.com/openhouse and plan to arrive by 5 p.m. with a valid government-issued photo ID. Shoppers are also encouraged to post their holiday adventures on social media with the hashtag #LetsShopPIT.
