AIRMALL Maryland Expands Dining Options for Travelers

New Chick-fil-A and Remodeled Obyrcki’s Now Open at BWI Marshall

BALTIMORE, Jan. 27, 2017 – AIRMALL at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall) is expanding its dining scene with a new Chick-fil-A location and the reopening of Obrycki’s Restaurant & Bar in an expanded space.

“We are pleased to bring more exciting dining options for travelers at BWI Marshall,” said Brett Kelly, vice president of AIRMALL Maryland. “Chick-fil-A and Obrycki’s deliver the quality and variety that travelers crave when dining on the go.”

Diners seeking authentic Maryland-style seafood need look no further than Obrycki’s Restaurant & Bar (2,469 sq. ft.) in Concourse B. Locally owned by the Cernak family, the newly renovated restaurant features expanded seating for 115 guests, a larger patio, reclaimed wood walls, and it retains the historic back bar that was in the original Baltimore City location.

Prepared to order menu items include the famous crab cakes that have been a Baltimore favorite since the first Obrycki’s restaurant was established in 1944. In January, it was named one of the 17 best airport restaurants in the country by Delish.com. The restaurant is open from 4:30 a.m. to 10:45 p.m. daily.

The new Chick-fil-A (804 sq. ft.) in Concourse A/B, locally operated by Concessions Solution Group in partnership with Great Foods International, is the franchise’s first location in a Washington area airport.

“We are extremely proud to bring the first Chick-fil-A to the Washington metropolitan area airports”, says Richard Chinsammy. “Chick-fil-A has been a part of my airport concessions career for over 18 years and I am most proud that now I can say that I am a part of the Chick-fil-A family of operators, especially at BWI Marshall, my home airport.”

Open from 4:30 a.m. to 10:45 p.m. Monday through Saturday, the restaurant features a full menu of Chick-fil-A favorites including the original chicken sandwich, nuggets, chargrilled chicken sandwich, waffle potato fries, and a breakfast menu.

“We continue to emphasize customer service and an outstanding travel experience for our passengers,” said Ricky Smith, chief executive officer of BWI Marshall. “The addition of Chick-fil-A is something that our customers have asked for.” Connect with AIRMALL Maryland on Twitter at @airmallbwi and Facebook https://www.facebook.com/airmallbwi.
