AIRMALL® at BWI and Borders Announces December Book Signings

Authors of Children’s Books, Thrillers and Military-Themed Novels Coming to the Airport

BALTIMORE, December 17, 2009 – BAA Maryland, developer of the AIRMALL® at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), will welcome a host of authors throughout the month of December who will be conducting book signings at Borders, located in the airport’s Terminal A/B.

On December 19, Donna Gross, a local author, will sign her children’s book, Higbert the Dragon, an adventure about a friendly dragon who teaches others about the importance of kindness and friendship. Gross will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The following two book signings are scheduled for December 21:

  • Louise Bonnett-Rampersaud, an English-born writer who now lives in Sandy Spring, Md., will sign copies of her latest children’s book, How Do You Sleep? and Never Ask a Bear from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Capt. Edward Brittingham, a retired U.S. Navy officer and author of military-themed fiction and nonfiction, will sign copies of Sub Chasers, Operation Poppy, The Iranian Deception and Terrorism in the United States from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

On December 22, Col. John Fenzel, a writer from Washington, D.C., will sign copies of his first book, The Lazarus Covenant, an international thriller that explores the scourge of extremism, terrorism and war in a haunting tale of friendship, faith and forgiveness. Fenzel will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

On December 22 and 23, former presidential candidate, lawyer and consumer advocate Ralph Nader will sign his books Only the Super Rich Can Save Us, where Nader envisions what could happen if some of the country’s richest people pooled their resources to enable change, along with 17 Traditions, a novel where Nader reaches into his experiences with family, friends, health, work, solitude and more to demonstrate seventeen areas of life that help to form character. Nader will conduct his signings on both days from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

On December 23, Maryann Cusimano Love will be signing her children’s books You Are My Miracle and You Are My I Love You from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., which are both stories about the transcendent, loving bonds that exists between a parent and child.

Allan Lohaus, Ph.D. will be present to sign Mayday!: A Physician as Patient on December 31 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Lohaus’ novel provides a rare perspective of a physician during months of illness, treatment, hospitalization and extreme suffering through the long road to recovery.
