BOSTON, July 31, 2006 – BAA Boston announces the results of the recent Secret Shopper contest, tabulated by an independent secret shopping service, at Boston Logan International Airport. Out of 33 retail, food and beverage outlets, Airport Wireless palm achieved the top slot in the contest for providing the best service.
“We use Secret Shoppers to evaluate travelers’ overall AIRMALL® experience to ensure quality visits and service,” said Mike Caro, Vice President of Development for BAA Boston. “We are proud of our stores and restaurants, as many of them scored very high in this contest.”
To rate the AIRMALL® concessionaires, Secret Shoppers go “undercover,” posing as travelers while assessing each location in terms of cleanliness and merchandising. The Secret Shoppers also evaluate employees for their product knowledge, friendliness, customer service and professionalism.
Located in the Food Court in Terminal B (US Airways at Logan International Airport), Airport Wireless palm outpaced a number of other high-quality stores. Other shops that proved to be on top of their game were Hudson News, Duty Free Store, ULTRA Diamonds, Duty Free Americas, Borders, Anthony Pier 4 and Brookstone. Restaurants that topped the list included Sbarro, Wok & Roll, Dine Boston Bar, Starbucks, Ben & Jerry’s, Au Bon Pain, Boston Deli, Boston Café, Legal Sea Foods, Dine Boston Café, American Food Court, McDonald’s and Dunkin’ Donuts.
