Hometown Seafood Favorite Obrycki’s Swims Into the AIRMALL® at BWI

BALTIMORE – July 10, 2006 – In a region famous for its seafood, the new Obrycki’s full-service restaurant and bar is no stranger to the sea. Located in Concourse B in BAA Maryland’s AIRMALL®, the Baltimore-based, family-owned and operated restaurant featured in Patricia Schultz’s book 1,000 Places to See Before You Die has been serving up tasty fare from under the sea for more than 60 years.

“We are extremely excited to have Obrycki’s join the AIRMALL®,” said Pat Walsh, Vice President, BAA Maryland. “Our goal is to continue to offer travelers a mix of local and national brands, and there is no restaurant that serves as a better representative of the region than Obrycki’s.”

The new Obrycki’s restaurant transcends the old Baltimore feel, with the bar from the original location and artwork by A. Aubrey Bodine depicting landmarks such as Fort McHenry, the Washington Monument and the tower at Friendship Airport before it became BWI. The 80-seat, 2,500-square foot, open-entrance layout makes the new Obrycki’s perfect for the airport setting.

“With our new AIRMALL® location, even more visitors to the Baltimore area will have the opportunity to sample our regionally-famous cuisine,” said Rob Cernak, who owns Obrycki’s BWI along with sisters Cindy Bacon and Cheri Cernak.
